Welcome to the Shire of Turm an dem See
|
The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is a group dedicated to researching
and recreating the Middle Ages and Renaissance in the present. Many groups meet
weekly, and at these meetings we dance, talk, study, learn, revel, and make plans.
The SCA is a group that offers activities for everyone and is something you can
enjoy at any age as an individual or a family.
It is a way to escape the stresses of modern day life and become the fair maid
awaiting her knight, or the knight defending his kingdom with sword and shield.
It is a way to relive the age of chivalry. This not to say that the SCA is a fantasy
group. Although fantasy certainly plays a part, it is the fantasy of reliving the time
period not the mythical creation of elves, orcs and dragons.
That said, however, those interested in such things usually enjoy the SCA.
